Roblox shows you these on its own screen before anything is granted. Here they are first, in plain English.
- Confirm who you are
openid - Roblox tells us your account ID. That ID is what your RoCreator account is keyed on, so signing in with Roblox brings you back to the same projects each time.
- Your username and avatar
profile - Your username, display name and avatar image. We use them so the app shows your name and picture instead of an anonymous account.
- Upload assets to your Roblox account
asset:write - This lets RoCreator create assets on your Roblox account. We use it when a build you asked for needs a 3D model or texture that does not exist yet — it is uploaded under your own account, so the asset belongs to you. Only model generation uses this; a request that needs no new asset never uploads anything.
- Read assets on your Roblox account
asset:read - This lets RoCreator read assets on your Roblox account. We use it to follow an upload we just started until Roblox finishes processing it and returns the asset ID your game needs.
