Where these facts come from
Everything on this page about Ropilot comes from one research pass on 27 July 2026, made against their own site and pricing, their public channels, and the Roblox API for the games named in their case studies. Nothing here is recalled from memory or lifted from a comparison blog, and we have not re-checked them since.
Prices move. Treat every figure below as what we saw on that date, go and look at their current pricing before you decide anything on the strength of it, and tell us if it has changed. Where we did not check something, this page says so rather than filling the gap in.
Side by side
Ropilot facts checked 27 July 2026. RoCreator facts are read out of the code that runs the product, so they cannot drift from what you actually get.
| Feature | RoCreator | Ropilot |
|---|---|---|
| What it costs a month | $9.99 for Pro. | $20 for their model tier, as of 12 August 2026. |
| How usage is counted | Requests. 250 a month on Pro, up to 15 in a day. | Credits on one tier, actions on the other. They publish a rough guide: 1 credit is about 2 of their Advanced prompts. |
| Bring your own Claude or ChatGPT subscription | No. We supply the model, and that is the only way it works today. | Yes, and it was their free tier when we checked. |
| Sign in without a Roblox account | Yes. Email works on its own. | Yes. Google sign-in, as of 27 July 2026. |
| What you install | A Roblox Studio plugin. Nothing runs outside Studio. | Their own app. On Mac the binary was unsigned when we checked. |
| Undo a change you did not want | Every applied change is snapshotted first. One click restores it exactly. | We could not find a documented approval step. Worth checking yourself. |
| Generates a 3D model for a prop | No, not today. The path is built and has produced a real mesh once, but the outside service it needs has no credits on our account, so the server refuses the command instead of queueing a job that cannot finish. Ask for a prop and you get it built out of parts, or a script-free Roblox Toolbox model inserted for you. | No, as of 27 July 2026. Scripting and UI. |
| Generates textures, sounds or animations | No. A small fixed library of animations and engine sounds, not generated assets. | No, as of 27 July 2026. Scripting and UI. |
| What you get for nothing | 5 requests a day with no monthly cap, plus 1 one-time build on the paid model. No card. | A monthly allowance at no charge, but only if you already pay for Claude or ChatGPT yourself. |
The real question: what does “it works” mean
Ropilot’s pitch, in their words on 27 July 2026, is that it reads your game, writes the Luau, playtests the fix and proves it works. That is the right thing to promise. It is also the hardest sentence in this category to keep, and it is worth knowing what any tool here can and cannot do before you buy one on the strength of it.
We run verification too, and here is the whole of it. After a change is applied, the plugin runs the new code in Edit mode and collects whatever errors come out. If the code touches player input, that is not enough, so it launches a real Play session with a real character and lets it run, because a lot of code only fails once there is genuinely a player for it to fail on.
What it cannot do is press a key. No legitimate Studio plugin can, which means a script that only misbehaves when you hold Shift will pass every check we run. So we do not say proven. We say it ran, here is what broke, and here is the part nobody automated. If a tool tells you a fix is proven, it is worth asking that tool which inputs it pressed.
Where Ropilot is ahead of us
They have something we do not have, and it is the thing that actually matters. A game called Paint To Hide, with tens of millions of visits and hundreds of people playing it at the moment we looked, is publicly credited by its own developer to Ropilot. That is a stranger with a real audience saying the tool worked. We do not have one of those yet. We launched in August 2026, and until someone who does not know us ships something with this and says so, no wording on our side is a substitute.
Their second pricing tier is also, plainly, a good idea we have not copied. If you already pay for Claude or ChatGPT, they let you point that subscription at their tool instead of paying twice for a model. We cannot do that. There is no bring-your-own-key path in RoCreator on any tier, and if that is your situation then the honest answer is that they have a cheaper shape for you than we do.
They are also further along than we are. They started in January 2026 and have a few thousand people in their community, a founder with a real following, and one post that reached the better part of two hundred thousand people. We are months behind that. If your question is which tool more people have already put through its paces, it is not us today.
If you went looking for reviews and found none
That is what we found too. On 27 July 2026 there was no Trustpilot page for Ropilot, no Reddit thread worth the name, and no DevForum thread. It is worth being careful about how you read that, because there are two very different explanations and they look identical from outside. Silence can mean nobody has been let down. It can also just mean not many people have arrived yet.
Our read is the second one, and we will say why rather than leave the insinuation hanging: their audience is concentrated in places that do not produce durable public criticism, and a tool that has been out since January has had less time to collect complaints than one that has been out for years. Absence of criticism is not an endorsement, and it is not an accusation either. It means you are going to have to try it.
The same is true of us, more so. We are newer than they are and there is even less written about us. That is the position we are in, and the only thing we can do about it is make the free tier good enough to answer the question without you paying first.
What we do differently
Half the price on the model tier
Pro is $9.99 a month for 250 requests, up to 15 in a day. Their comparable tier listed $20 a month when we checked on 27 July 2026.
Undo is a restore, not a rewind
Applied changes are snapshotted before they land, so reverting puts the old code back exactly. You are not re-prompting your way home or digging through version history hoping the right save point is in there.
Nothing installs outside Studio
It is a Roblox Studio plugin. There is no separate desktop app to trust, and on a Mac there is no unsigned binary to talk your way past Gatekeeper for.
The price is on the page
Every tier and every cap, before you hand over an email. Free is 5 requests a day with no monthly cap, plus 1 one-time build on the paid model.
The one claim we will not make about them
The most useful thing we could tell you here is that Ropilot does not ask permission before it edits your game. We are not going to tell you that, because we did not verify it. What we actually found is nothing: no documented approval step anywhere we looked on 27 July 2026. Absence of a mention is not absence of a feature. It might be there and undocumented, or it might have shipped in the two weeks since.
So go and check it yourself, and check ours the same way. Ask any tool in this category one question before you let it near a live game: when it gets something wrong, what exactly puts your game back, and how long does that take. Our answer is that the old code is snapshotted before the new code lands and one click restores it. Theirs may be just as good. We simply cannot stand behind a claim we did not test, and a page that did would not be worth reading.
Which one to pick
- You already pay for Claude or ChatGPT. Look at Ropilot first. Pointing a subscription you already have at a tool, instead of buying a second one, is a better deal than anything we can offer you today.
- You want the tool with a public track record. Also them. A developer with a game in the tens of millions of visits credited them by name, and we have nothing of that kind yet.
- You are editing a game people already play. This is where we would argue for ourselves. Ask both tools what happens on the change that goes wrong. Ours snapshots the old code before the new code lands, so putting it back is a restore rather than a repair, and it costs one click and no re-prompting.
If none of those is you, the free tier is the cheapest way to settle it. It is 5 requests a day with no card and no trial clock, which is enough to put one real feature into one real place and judge the output yourself.
If you are still choosing
We have written one page per option, plus a setup guide that assumes you have picked nothing yet. Each one names the date its facts were checked and the places where the other tool wins.
- RoCreator vs the assistant built into Studio including the part where their approval gate is stricter than ours.
- Looking for a Lemonade alternative the biggest tool in the category, and older than us.
- Should you use AI for this at all written by us, and it argues against itself in four places.
- Roblox Studio guides complete, paste-and-run Luau for a grapple, a double jump, sprinting and a chase NPC.
- How to use AI in Roblox Studio start to finish: the install, the first prompt to type, and the limits worth knowing.
